About us
Welcome to CORE - an international non-profit center dedicated to advancing open science, interdisciplinary education and transparent publishing. Our mission is to make knowledge accessible, connected and empowered - for everyone, everywhere.
CORE was created in 2020 as a response to the growing need for open, accessible and ethical approaches in science and education. Initially formed as an academic initiative within an interdisciplinary research project, CORE quickly evolved into an international platform that brings together experts from different fields on a voluntary basis. In cooperation with various associations and associations, we have been participating in the realization of various courses related to decision-making in various fields of both social and engineering sciences. This collaboration has resulted in strengthened regional ties, enhanced professional competencies, and the creation of a platform for continuous learning and exchange of best practices.
Since 2021, CORE has expanded its activities through:
- Development of digital tools for open publishing
- Organization of educational programs and conferences
- Establishing partnerships with universities, institutes and publishers
- Active participation in international open science initiatives.
By 2023, CORE has become recognizable for its innovative collaboration models, transparent evaluation practices, and promotion of interdisciplinary dialogue. Today, CORE stands as a dynamic center shaping the future of scholarly communication and education.
CORE prioritizes the following domains of expertise:
Intelligent Engineering Systems
We specialize in the exploration and development of cutting-edge engineering methodologies, emphasizing innovation in automation, robotics, and digitally integrated manufacturing. Our work bridges theoretical research with practical applications to drive next-generation industrial solutions.
Decision-Making in Interdisciplinary Domains
We explore integrative decision frameworks that span engineering, data science, economics, and policy. By combining quantitative methods with domain-specific insights, we support adaptive and collaborative decision-making in multifaceted environments.
Data-Driven Decision Intelligence
Our team harnesses the power of data science, machine learning, and AI to support informed decision-making. Through the creation of predictive analytics and strategic optimization models, we empower organizations to navigate complex challenges with clarity and precision.
Systems Optimization and Operational Modeling
We focus on enhancing the performance of intricate systems such as logistics networks, supply chains, and resource allocation frameworks. By designing robust algorithms and mathematical models, we aim to streamline operations, minimize costs, and elevate overall productivity.
We envision a world where research, education, and scholarly communication are free from institutional, geographic, and language barriers. CORE aspires to become a global platform for the exchange of ideas, innovations and open practices that shape the future of science.
CORE connects researchers, educators, publishers and digital innovators through:
- Open approaches in science and education
- Interdisciplinary projects and collaborative networks
- Transparent publishing and evaluation models
- Digital tools for visibility, accessibility and interaction.
At the heart of CORE are the values that define our work:
Openness - knowledge is a public good
Community - science is a collective endeavor
Interdisciplinarity - boundaries are opportunities for innovation
Transparency - trust is built through clarity.
CORE develops digital platforms, educational resources and publishing models that enable:
Open Education Programs
Through online courses, interactive workshops and digital resources, CORE empowers a global community of researchers and learners. The programs are focused on the application of open methodological approaches and encourage interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge.
Open scientific publishing
CORE actively participates in the development of open publishing models through the publication of scientific books, journals, technical reports and other relevant formats. The goal is to ensure free access to quality research and encourage the exchange of knowledge without barriers.
Visibility and networking
CORE provides tools for building a digital identity, international promotion and connecting scientific teams and institutions.
Support for interdisciplinary projects
Through a mentoring network, project incubators and open calls for collaboration, CORE encourages innovative approaches and joint research initiatives.
Organizing conferences
CORE's conference programs are designed to promote open science, interdisciplinary collaboration, and global knowledge exchange through thematic meetings, annual conferences, and open access publication formats. Through partnerships with the academic, civil, and technology sectors, CORE enables visibility, connectivity, and lasting traces of scholarly communication.
CORE is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of open science, education and publishing. Our financial structure is based on the principles of transparency, sustainability and joint investment in the future of knowledge.
The organization is funded through three key sources:
Publishing activities
Revenues generated through the publication of scientific books, journals, technical reports and other formats enable the further development of open publishing models and digital infrastructure.
Educational programs
Online courses, workshops and trainings organized by CORE contribute to the financial stability of the center, while at the same time spreading knowledge and methodological skills around the world.
Membership and institutional support
Membership fees of individuals and organizations that share the values of CORE represent the foundation of the joint construction of an open scientific community. Members have access to exclusive resources, opportunities for collaboration and participation in the center's strategic development.
All revenues are reinvested in the development of digital tools, educational content, open publishing platforms and international collaborative initiatives. CORE does not accept commercial sponsorships that would compromise academic independence, but relies on community support, partnerships and project grants that share our mission.
